Whenever you're gone
Even if it's not for long
A piece of my heart goes wherever you go
I miss you so much
When you're out of touch
Without even the choice
Of hearing your voice
And my heart knows only
That it will be lonely
Until I see you again
No matter when
Whenever you're gone
My heart always goes along
And stays with you wherever you go
Though I'll miss you so
Deep down I always know
That it's never for long
That our love is so strong

It's only when you're close
That I'm happiest the most
But I'm a ghost of a man
When you're far from my hand
To be complete,I need you
As near as can be
Because you're such a part of me
That the farther you are
The less I become
Your distance a cloud
That blocks out my sun
Taking the light from my life as you go
But then,when you draw near again
It's rays burst through the cloud
Removing the shroud
Filling my heart so bright and so warm
From what threatened to be such a frightening storm
But is now only a beautiful,ambient light
Lighting my life as you come close
This is when I'm happiest the most.
